Have An Unforgettable Halloween Party

Are you known to your friends as the "hostess with the mostest"? If that is the case, you may be wondering what you should do to plan a big Halloween party coming up. Consider having something different this year. Instead of hosting a party that will be held at your home, plan an escape room party held in a commercial entertainment room. From planning the invitations to securing the entertainment room, here are some ideas that might help you to plan an unforgettable Halloween party.

The Guest List

Add to the fun by making your own invitations with an Escape theme. For instance, put clues in the invitation that will give information that your friends need. For instance, include words like "The party will end when Cinderella has to leave the ball." Recipients of the invitations will more than likely figure out that the party ends at midnight.

Also, think of inviting friends who are willing to try new experiences. Tell them that there will be an Escape theme. Suggest that they wear costumes of people who might escape. For example, they could dress like prisoners.

Be sure to add RSVP information to your invitations. The personnel at the escape event center will need to know at least a close number of how many guests you will be hosting. That will not only help them plan the escape games, but it will be important information for refreshments that follow the main event.

What To Expect

Don't worry about decorations. The staff in charge of the escape games will probably make sure that your entertainment room is decorated for Halloween, and some places will already have themes in place. Of course, if you want to bring your own collection of Halloween decorations, just let the staff know ahead of time.

In the escape room, your group might receive clever deciphering clues that lead to an escape. There will be puzzles that have to be solved. The escape games are often timed, but if you want the games to last longer, just let the planner know from the beginning and see if that is an option.

One of the benefits of having professionals plan your escape party is that you might not even have to plan the refreshments—just look for an escape room company that offers this option. Think of having something like pizza, which is almost always a popular food. If you want to add some homemade sweets, consider bringing cookies or cupcakes that have been decorated with a Halloween theme. A fun party favor to give to each of your guests would be a mini-Halloween puzzle. If you can spend a bit more money, give your guests a paperback mystery novel by somebody like Mary Higgins Clark or a scary Stephen King novel.
